African American Woman Told By Doctor Her Back Pain Is “Ghetto Booty”

A racist doctor recently told a Mid-South Tennessee woman that her lower back pain is “ghetto booty” and has no cure. Remarkably, the doctor does not deny having said this, and says he does not see what is so offensive.

“He said ‘I know what the problem is. It’s ghetto booty,’” said 55-year-old Terry Ragland about what she was told by Dr. Timothy Sweo in April. See the full report in the video below…

The woman has filed a complaint with the Tennessee Department of Health.

I am white and I have the same malady. It’s common among certain cultures to have this type of bottom — the doctor probably thought he was being “funny” in his description of it. I often hear white women who have this problem, such as myself, refer to it that way. It’s culture slang borrowed from the younger generation.
