Is This The Face Of The Ferguson Cop Who Shot Unarmed African American Mike Brown?

Anonymous hacktivists say they’ve identified the Ferguson, Missouri police officer responsible for the shooting death of Michael Brown. Brown was the an unarmed teenager following an alleged altercation with the police. The shooting of Brown has now led to international outrage and protests which have brought out the police state tactics in force.

A Twitter account associated with one cell of Anonymous said Thursday that they’ve identified the officer who killed Brown. They have posted photographs purported to be of the man in question. Whether or not this is the correct officer remains to be scene. A search of social media caches reveal that the fingered officer, Bryan Willman, claims to be the Communications Director at The City of St. Ann Police Department.

For their part, the St. Louis County PD claims Bryan Willman doesn’t work for them or #Ferguson Police Department.

The Anonymous account in question replied, “We’ll see about that.” But the Twitter account for TheAnonMessage was deleted shortly thereafter.

Law enforcement has thus far been unwilling to publicize the name of the officer involved in the shooting death despite calls from the public and press alike. Hackers and activists affiliated with the internationally-dispersed Anonymous collective have vowed to disclose the cop’s identity if officials declined to do so on their own, however, and on Thursday said that Willman is the officer responsible.

The same account posted screenshots which they said have come from Willman’s personal Facebook account from earlier this week. The Anonymous source claims that they out him as the shooter.

One of the screenshots reviews a discussion with Facebook friends about the name change on the social media site, to “Scooby Willman.”

“Yep, nobody will find me with that name!” Scooby Willman wrote in a comment.

“But the job title says it all. Guessing everyone is forgetting about that,” a follower responded

“You have a good point. All changed!!” Willman replied.

Still, the official Twitter account for the St. Louis County Police Department says that Willman is not an employee of either their office or the Ferguson PD.

Is this the shooter? We leave you to decide. We will report as more information is outed.
