Massive Image of Child In Pakistan Field Stares Drone ‘Pilots’ In the Face

Artists have long extolled the role of art in revolution. Now, an artist collective has demonstrated just what such revolutionary art can look like. The collective has unfurled a huge poster of a child’s face, positioned in a field, in a heavily bombed area of Pakistan. Their hope and intention is that this image will give drone “pilots” some pause, and shame them into thinking about the people in the areas they bombard.

The collective of artists are associated with French artist JR’s ‘Inside Out’ movement. It has been using the hashtag #notabugsplat, which they explain is named after the description given by drone operators to kills on the ground when they are viewed through grainy drone video footage.

The artists teamed up with Pakistani locals to unroll and tack down the giant poster in a field in the Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa region.

Remarkably, the enormous poster is big enough to be seen by satellites collecting landscapes for online mapping websites.

The Foundation for Fundamental Rights says that the child featured in the image lost both her parents and two young siblings to U.S. drone attacks.

A- you can never believe almost anything you hear from a rabid muslim anymore than you can believe a zealot christian. This girl may be an orphan but far more likely isn’t.
B- Who else here is taken by surprise that the taliban is once again hiding behind innocent children? It’s not an old tactic on their part.

I hate to sound cruel but when I lived in India a common saying was, “If you see a snake and you see a muslim, shoot the muslim first!”. Only when you are raised in that part of the world and deal with muslims on a consistent basis can you see the pure logic in such a nasty saying. Living on American soil, we’ll never truly realize just how huge a threat Islam (not “radical” islam) is to the entire world.

As a belief system, It’s every bit as harmful as Naziism.
