Obama Literally Told White House Aides He’s ‘Really Good At Killing People’

It was recently revealed that President Obama told White House aides that he is “really good at killing people.” This might not go over well with people who believed the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize winner would be a “peace president.” He may have won the Nobel Peace Prize, but his comments, coupled with his pro-war actions, prove that he is far from noble or peaceful.

A new book, Double Down, chronicles the 2012 presidential election. Recently, we reported on this work, by journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, discussing the attitude and insulting comments by Mitt Romney towards governor Chris Christie. The same book discusses President Barack Obama bragging to his aides that he’s “really good at killing people” during a discussing of drone strikes.

The president was telling the truth. Amnesty International recently reported that Civilian Deaths by U.S. Drone Strikes Constitute ‘War Crimes’. A List of Muslim Children Killed by US Drone Strikes reveals that professor Cornel West was not off the mark when he called Barack Obama a “Global George Zimmerman.”

President Obama directly oversaw the 2009 surge in Afghanistan. He was not simply uninformed and unconnected as Commander in Chief. People died – innocent people died – as the direct result of his decisions. This includes the 145 Predator drone strikes in NATO’s 2011 Libya operations as well, which former Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney describes as a power play for African resources.

The Obama Administration greatly expanded the drone war, with more than 326 drone strikes in Pakistan, 93 in Yemen, and several in Somalia. As bad as we might not like George Bush, there were a total of 52 during his two terms. If Obama deserves a Nobel Peace Prize, then George W. Bush deserves several. But the truth is neither does, because neither are peaceful men.

For example, let us consider the disturbing “double tap” tend, whereby the same geographical location is bombed twice in short succession. This results in the deaths of civilians, specifically hitting first responders. This has become common practice under the Obama “peace presidency.” When innocent people have been killed so wantonly, and without apology, it is an insult to our intelligence to call this man who says that he is “really good at killing people” a peaceful man, deserving the Nobel Prize. One thing is for certain, however, if he indeed said this (as it seems clear he did from the aforementioned book), we at least can admire his newfound honesty.
