‘White Tail’ Nude Church Invites You To ‘Come As You Are’

Pastor Allen Parker of the White Tail Chapel says that his church is following the model of Jesus by holding church services in the nude. He explains that first and foremost, the church, located on the grounds of the White Tail Resort in Ivor, Virginia, is casting off any focus on material possessions, even concern about clothes.

Secondly, Parker suggests, many of the most important events in Jesus’ life happened while he was nude.

“When he was born he was naked, when he was crucified he was naked and when he arose he left his clothes in the tomb and he was naked,” Parker explained. “If God made us that way, how can that be wrong?”

Furthermore, Parker says that when everyone is nude, no one can judge one another based on what they are wearing.

“I consider this a gift and a privilege God has given me,” Parker told local ABC 13 in Virginia. The congregation, he explains, is “caring, they’re understanding, and they’re community and family oriented. We have one of the most involved chapels anyplace around. I’ll put our church up against others around.”
